Join the Houston Botanic Community Garden

The Community Garden provides bed space, supplies, resources, and classes to allow neighbors to come together to grow organic produce, learn new planting techniques, and deepen their understanding of the nutritional importance of plants. Located on the South Side of the Garden, on Glenview Drive, this Community Garden operates as an allotment garden, where members pay an annual fee to rent a plot (also called a garden bed) and grow their own vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

All new gardeners should be residents of the zip codes around the Garden - 77017, 77061, or 77087 to be considered eligible for membership.

A free family membership to the Houston Botanic Garden is available to existing and new members who pay the annual rental fee.

$55/year - Large garden plot
$35/year - Smaller container garden

All rental fees go back to the community garden to pay for materials and resources needed to continue for the garden to grow and thrive.
