Depicting The Invisible:

A Portrait Series of Veterans Suffering from PTSD

Registration is now open for member access to the Virtual Tour of our newest traveling exhibit, Depicting The Invisible by Susan J. Barron. Register below with your member information to receive your direct link to view this 20-minute tour.

Susan J. Barron’s breathtaking mixed media depictions are achieved through photographic imagery, paint, and text. Incorporated into these portraits are veteran’s stories in their own words. Many of their stories, by turns horrifying and hopeful, are bravely told here for the first time.

''This body of work was inspired when I learned that 22 veterans commit suicide every day in America. As an artist I wanted to shine a light on this epidemic of PTSD and suicide. I want to give these veterans a voice.'' - Susan J. Barron

I plan to attend the Member Preview Day for Depicting the Invisible on Friday, April 2.
