Dance Company is excited to be running a Winter Professional Intensive in June 2024.
This
five-day program is designed to extend your training, spark your creativity and
challenge you as an artist, providing an opportunity for professional and
early-career dance artists to learn from Sydney Dance Company.
The
Professional Intensive is an application-based program. Tertiary dance
students, graduates and professional dancers with a high level of ballet or
contemporary dance training aged 18+ are encouraged to apply for this invaluable
opportunity with Australia’s leading contemporary dance company.
The five-days will include contemporary technique class in a variety of styles and methodologies, improvisation tasks, creative development and the opportunity to learn Sydney Dance Company repertoire culminating in an informal sharing session. The aim of the program, held in the iconic Wharf studios, is to leave you feeling creatively motivated and inspired as an artist.
Both
Australian and international applicants are welcome to apply. Sydney Dance Company
is unable to assist international dancers with visa processes, however no study
visa is required to participate in the Professional Intensive.
Successful
applicants will be notified by email on the outcome of their application.
Sydney Dance Company may make offers prior to the application closing date of Sunday 26 May 2024, therefore applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
