2026 Creative Junior Intensive Application

Join Sydney Dance Company for the Creative Junior Intensive at Sydney Coliseum Theatre (West HQ), running from Wednesday 7 October to Friday 9 October 2026.

Designed for young dancers aged 10–12 years with some previous dance experience, this three-day program takes place during the spring school holidays and provides a fun, supportive environment to build confidence, creativity and contemporary dance skills.

Led by Sydney Dance Company’s Teaching Artists, participants will take part in contemporary dance classes, creative movement activities and collaborative choreography. Along the way, they will develop their technique, explore new ways of moving and expressing ideas, and experience how professional dancers create and perform original work.

The program concludes with a special informal performance for family, friends and the local community.

This application-based program is generously supported by West HQ and is fully subsidised, with no cost for successful participants.

Successful applicants will be notified by email and must accept their offer within one week to secure their place. Applications close Wednesday 23 September, unless places are filled earlier.
