Theatre has the power to transform lives—Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein knew that firsthand. As she so beautifully put it, “Theatre is a very personal experience that grows in meaning and depth when shared with others.” That's why, back in 1998, Wendy approached TDF about taking a cohort of students to see some performances, followed by post-show conversations over pizza. Two decades later, more than 3,000 kids from 40-plus schools have participated in what we now call the Wendy Wasserstein Project. Through poignant performances and in-depth discussions with top professionals in the field, generations of young people have shared their differing opinions and emotional responses, had their assumptions challenged and their eyes opened to new possibilities. Now's your chance to get a taste of this life-changing program from the comfort of your own home.

Attending these virtual fundraisers supports TDF’s School Programs and gives you the rare opportunity to participate in a discussion with VIP Wendy Project Mentors and other passionate theatregoers.
